##How to Submit Your Paper

New to *ACL venues? No problem. Here’s the whole process, one small step at a time.

  1. Pick your paper type

Long (8 pages), short (4 pages), or a system paper for a shared task (4 pages). References don’t count.

  2. Write it in the ACL template

Use the official template as is. Don’t change margins, fonts, or spacing.

  3. Add a Limitations section

Place it after the conclusion. It’s required, and it doesn’t count toward your pages.

  4. Make it anonymous

Remove names and affiliations, cite your own work in the third person, and anonymize code links.

  5. Get OpenReview profiles

Every author needs one. Do it early; new profiles can take a few days to be approved.

  6. Submit by February 5, 2027

Upload one PDF on OpenReview before 11:59 PM AoE. The portal opens October 26.
